What You’ll Learn

How to use a Symbol Chart panel, which indicators and levels are available, and how to switch symbols and timeframes.

What It Shows

A Symbol Chart is a live OHLC candlestick pane for one ticker. It is the directional anchor most traders keep on screen all day — the “map” beside Quote Flow, options, and GEX panels. Out of the box, each pane shows:
  • Live candles for the selected symbol
  • Volume histogram with optional trend-based coloring
  • Whatever overlays and session levels you have enabled in Settings
Each panel keeps its own settings, so you can show the same ticker different ways in different panes — for example, one SPY chart with VWAP and prior-day levels, and a second SPY chart with moving averages and ORB levels only.

Indicators

Indicators are toggled per pane in the Settings popover.

Volume Coloring

The histogram can color each bar by trend, by candle direction, or stay neutral. A few palettes are available — most traders pick one and stick with it.
Less is usually more. A pane crowded with overlapping indicators is harder to read than one with two or three studies you actually trust.

Changing The Symbol

Use the panel header to switch what the chart is showing:
  • Quick Symbols — one-click access to the most common tickers: SPX, SPY, VIX, NDX, DJI, RUT (plus ES1! when futures-data access is enabled for your account)
  • Search — type any supported ticker to load it into the pane
  • Layout — keep multiple symbol panes side by side to compare related instruments (for example SPX next to ES1!, or SPY next to QQQ)
Switching the symbol preserves the pane’s indicator settings, so your VWAP-and-levels layout follows the new ticker.

Timeframes

Each pane has its own timeframe selector. The chart re-aggregates when you switch. Common usage:
  • 1-minute / 5-minute — intraday reads, scalps, and 0DTE work
  • 15-minute / 1-hour — swing context, session structure
  • Daily — multi-day trend, prior-day and prior-week level placement
Crosshair sync works across panes regardless of timeframe — moving your cursor on one chart highlights the matching time on the others.
